Baked Design Studio is an async design and build studio for startups, based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. We do brand identity, product design for web and mobile, marketing websites, full-stack web apps, launch videos and pitch decks, for founders who want senior work without hiring a full design team.
Baked has worked with 200+ clients since it started. 35 of them are on this site, including 11 Y Combinator companies: Inkbox, Stoa, tash, Context Dev and more, alongside Peec AI and Comp AI. Case studies are on the home page.
Who runs it
Nick is the founder and creative director. 17+ years in product and marketing design, including Meta. Builds Baked in public on X, sharing how the studio runs, client work and lessons.
Nick reviews everything that ships. The studio is a small team of senior designers and developers who have worked at Meta, Netflix, HubSpot and Expa, and been founding designers at 25+ startups.
How we work
- You book a 30-minute intro call. After that there are no standing meetings.
- You get a private Slack channel. Drop a request there and work is usually ready to review in days.
- Flat monthly plans in USD: Basic at $6,917 (2–3 updates a week) and Pro at $8,999 (3–4 updates a week). Details on the home page.
- No contracts. Pause or cancel any month. Every YC company gets 10% off every month, any batch.
