“Btw I loooove this visualization. It's absolutely brilliant in explaining the value of the product.”

Introduction

TextPort helps people export their iPhone messages into print ready PDFs or other file formats. Most users are non technical, and many need their messages for custody issues, harassment reports, disputes or an attorney review.

Sebastian found Baked on X and asked us to start with an audit of the app. Over a month we redesigned onboarding and import, added light mode, redesigned the desktop app and rebuilt the website.

Export iPhone messages to PDF or Excel.

App

Onboarding and import, in light and dark

We started by using the app like a customer and noting every paper cut in Figma. Onboarding now walks through import, extract and export before a short survey, and the Add Chat flow recommends the best import method for each messaging app. We added light mode and type and colour variables.

Website

Showing the product doing the work

The home page shows a chat being scanned and turned into PDF and CSV files. Each section answers a simple question for people who are not technical: how it works, what you get, and who it is for.

Pages

A structure for every page

Desktop, reviews, articles and comparison pages use the same responsive structure, and the comparison page is a template for the rest. We also redesigned the desktop app from a blank slate, with Windows as the main focus.
